How a Tube Journey to London Sparked the Birth of Hypoxi Slim Suite
“One day I walked past a sign. Next, I stepped into my purpose.”
Long before Hypoxi Slim Suite opened its doors in Sunninghill, there was a daily walk through a high street in Essex — and a sign that kept calling out. (The very exact logo sign above the page you are now reading)
Over a decade ago, I was working a fast-paced lawyer’s job in London with my two baby (back then they were) boys in full-time nursery. Every morning I’d walk past a studio in Essex with a sign that simply said HYPOXI, and boards outside featuring Cheryl Cole and Robbie Williams.
Something about it called to me — again and again. I couldn’t explain why. As I am very old school and know so little about technology I didn’t even think of Googling it! 🙈 Perhaps I kept thinking, if it was good enough for Cheryl, it’s good enough for us, the “London stilettos 👠 crowd” — wink wink.
One day, curiosity won. I stepped through the door — and everything changed.
Inside, I was welcomed by Silwia from South Woodford Hypoxi with such warmth that it immediately felt like more than a wellness space. I signed up for a course and started using the signature HYPOXI method — alternating between the vacuum bubble and bike sessions.
What happened next came as unexpected & unforeseen!
In 3 weeks (8 sessions) I lost 6kg naturally and effortlessly, with no dieting or intense workouts (which I majorly dislike). Then it all made sense why so many celebrities were doing the same in the Hypoxi Harrods Branch and the top magazines were testing and reviewing this therapy!

After one call to the Hypoxi Head Office and a meeting with the loveliest Maria, the Head Trainer for the UK & Europe, Ewe and Willy (we mustn’t laugh… it’s not the same meaning in German!!), Hypoxi Ascot was born — bringing this revolutionary Austrian technology to Berkshire, Surrey, Hampshire and beyond.
Sooner than expected the girls were travelling to us from Winchester, Swindon, Milton Keynes and Sandbanks!
Overnight… my Dior stilettos 👠 gave way to Nike, tailor-made suits were swapped for Sweaty Betty and the trendy rooftop bars quickly became a thing of the past and were substituted by an occasional local pub lunch with now my bestie (ironically she was one of our first clients AND called Cheryl!)

Having transformed herself at this very studio in the most unpredictable and incredible way, she is now the Head Transformational Coach in our Ascot studio as we are preparing for the forthcoming September launch of our second branch at the world’s most beautiful (in our opinion anyway) garden centre @Longacres, Bagshot, Surrey.
The plan for 2026 is 2 branches further afield, including London’s Harley Street (I was looking for an excuse to wear my stilettos 👠 again) and the most beautiful of the Balearic Islands, Majorca (I was looking for an excuse to show off the Hypoxi bikini 👙 body lol 😂)!

Meet Angela – From Client to Hypoxi Ascot Studio Head
Angela’s journey with Hypoxi began not behind the desk or in the studio — but on the treatment bed.
